The Cluster at Kennedy Library provides support for discipline-spanning approaches for research and creative work lifecycles aligning a multitude of departments in the library: Archives, Digital Projects Lab, Digital Commons @ Cal Poly, University Art Collection, Poly Publishing, Faculty Exhibit Program, and Community Galleries.

The cluster will engage and maintain open approaches to racial and social justice through digital and public initiatives foci, highlighting and supporting non-traditional modes of scholarship, and to amplify historically underrepresented voices in scholarship and creative work. We support the phases of the cycle with expertise, with infrastructure and platforms, as well as networking to help find what you need.

The cluster parallels university-wide faculty cluster hires, which aim to “promote inclusive teaching strategies across the university and increase curricular coverage of areas related to diversity and inclusion,” in order to best support scholars through tools, best practices, services, instructions, expertise for public scholarship and dissemination.
